Buyer Beware This Holiday Season!

We all want those hot items when we start our Holiday Shopping. You have moments like Black Friday or Cyber Monday where you can get those hard to get or expensive items at a pretty sweet discount! Now, Cyber Monday is a great way to increase commerce if you’re a business but the downside of it is that if you are a customer, you may be more susceptible to scams. Meaning, the product you are looking at on some website may not be all it’s cracked up to be, may be sold out, or an out of stock item. You may get stuck with a poor substitute from a different site as well.

You can find great deals anywhere but do not get misled into buying something that was refurbished or out of stock (where you’d have to wait till after new years) or something that is at such a ridiculously low price that it HAS to be a scam. You need to be wary of what you get yourself into during the holiday buying season. Predators do not sleep and their job is to wreak havoc 24/7 365 days of the year, including those holidays that you yearn for every year. Scammers will promise one thing and deliver and other and by the time you have anything done about it you would have to spend money on proper gifts and kind of forget about what just happened. By the time you catch up to the scam which would probably be after New Year’s then it would be too late and you are out of time and money!

An easy way to avoid all this hub-hub is to do all of your shopping at the right time. Do not wait for the last minute. Instead you can do your shopping in the months leading up to the holidays and then you won’t have any problems at all. Even though 95% of us wait till the last minute; it’s still something to shoot for!
