Paid Website Traffic Scams

Paid Website Traffic Scams

We’re not going to tell you that all programs that offer paid website advertising are scams however many of them are. PPC (pay per click) advertising, for example, is a perfectly legit way of promoting your site. However some of these aforementioned traffic services simply don’t work and should be avoided at all costs.

Website traffic services will ask you to pay something like a $19.95 fee and what you get in return is simply a bunch of worthless hits. We know you want hits on your website but believe us you don’t want this type of traffic.

Why doesn’t this service work? For one important reason. The visitors don’t really exist. What these companies do is simply send you a bunch of hits via a set proxy server. These servers are programmed to vist your website repeatedly and will appear as a unique visitor. Since no actual humans visited your site you won’t see any increase in sales or subscribers. All you’ll see is an increase in traffic to the site.

Since this is a bogus service we recommend you use good old fashioned SEO techniques in order to get more traffic to your website. We recommend you constantly generate new content for your site and promote it through forums and social bookmarking websites. The more new content you create the better the chance that your website will be seen. Avoid these bogus traffic generation sites at all costs.
